Purple Hotel Demolition Continues
The wrecking ball is doing its damage to the once-elegant violet lady.
These photos show the progress being made in the demolition if the Purple Hotel in Lincolnwood.
The hotel, at the corner of Lincoln and Touhy Avenues, was a sought-after venue for weddings, bar mitzvahs, dinners and other events in the 1970s through 1990s, but gradually fell into disrepair.
