Skokian to Throw Out First Pitch at Cubs Game

Skokie resident David Baban will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game on Tuesday, May 8.

Baban was selected for the honor through a contest sponsored by Chamberlain College of Nursing. David attends the school's Chicago campus. Participants were asked to answer the following:

This year's theme for National Nurses Week is Nurses: Advocating, Leading, Caring. How do you exemplify this theme in your daily life and how do you plan to demonstrate these characteristics in your career?

The contest and Baban’s first pitch are part of Nurses Night at the Ballpark, the third annual Chamberlain-sponsored night at Wrigley Field in honor of National Nurses Week (May 6-12).
