Co-written by the North Shore's Harold Ramis, released in 1978 and starring John Belushi, Kevin Bacon, Karen Allen, Tom Hulce, Donald Sutherland and Tim Matheson., the U.S. Library of Congress (http://www.loc.gov/film/nfr2001.html) deemed the movie culturally significant and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.

"We were very excited to have sold out the theatre when we screened the Rocky Horror Picture Show in August, so we thought we'd try it again with another old favorite offering a fun soundtrack and an excuse to dress up," says Scott Holtz, the chief organizer of this event.

Beer will be available before the movie, which will start at 11 p.m. Bring your ID!

"Oh, yes, we'll have a food fight, but because we're looking to save the theatre and not destroy it, it will be a little unusual, a clean food fight. You'll see." adds Holtz.

Tickets cost $20. All proceeds will benefit the Skokie Theatre. Seating is limited.  Tickets will be available at the door or in advance at http://www.animalhouseskokie.eventbrite.com

All Skokie Photo Project will make a big group picture of everyone in the audience.

About the Skokie Theatre
The Skokie Theatre is considered a centerpiece in Skokie's downtown. It first opened in 1912. About the All Skokie Photo Project
Because it is time to update the world on what Skokie is about, and the recent census can only tell part of the story, the Skokie Historical Society and photographer Karen Kring are spearheading the All Skokie Photo Project, a year-long community photography project that aims to make a picture of everyone who has made Skokie what it is today--residents, workers, students, worshipers, politicians past and preseent--by May 2011. The images will reflect a year in the life of Skokie and its people. The photos will become part of the archives of the Skokie Historical Society.  More at http://livefromskokie.blogspot.com/p/all-skokie-photo-project.html
