Charlene Brooks Gifted Singer, Songwriter And Actress Returns To The Skokie Theatre In Bonnie, Bette & Brooks Or Getting In Touch With My Roots And Adding Highlights

Chicago born singer, cabaret performer, writer, lyricist and actress, Charlene Brooks, returns to the Skokie Theatre in Bonnie, Bette & Brooks or Getting in Touch with My Roots and Adding Highlights Saturday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. at the Skokie Theatre, 7924 N. Lincoln Ave. Brooks will be performing with her band, Dennis Luxion on piano, Jim Cox on bass, Eric Montzka on drums, Scott Bentall on trombone and Rob Curtis on guitar. Tickets to both productions are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and may be purchased by calling 847.677.7761 or visiting www.skokietheatre.com.

This performance will be signed for the hearing impaired audience members. 

Charlene Brooks has consistently sold out the Skokie Theatre in her previous engagements. She returns to the Skokie stage in an all-new show highlighting two of her influences and two legendary ladies, Bonnie Raitt and Bette Midler. The evening will highlight songs, ,  from their careers mixed with stories of how they were an inspiration to Brook’s life in a style that Brooks fans have come to love. Some of the songs included in this performance from Raitt’s country to cross over sensation career are “Something to Talk About,” “Feels Like Home,” “Love Sneaking Up on You” and more. The Divine Miss M, Bette Midler, will also be given her respects by Brooks when she takes to the stage this November with songs from Midler’s impressive catalog of television, movie and recorded hits including these and many more, “The Rose,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “Some People.”
