Sing-a-long to Grease at the last Wednesdays on the Green!

 

Enjoy the last Wednesdays on the Green in Downtown Skokie on August 24, 2011.  This free event held at 7 p.m. and will feature the movie Grease as a sing-a-long.  The Village Green is located at 5155 Oakton Street between the Skokie Public Library and Village Hall.

The Skokie Public Library will set the ball rolling at 7 p.m. with Motown Alive!, a live band that combines rhythm and blues, swing, and pop to form a unique sound.  The Village Green will be rockin' with Motown favorites before the Grease movie sing-a-long, which starts at 8 p.m.  Wet your whistle, practice your do, re, mi’s and don’t miss this event.

In addition, on August 24 Wednesdays on the Green participants can also receive 20% off at all participating restaurants in Downtown Skokie by presenting a Wednesdays on the Green postcard (dine-in/carry out) from 4 p.m. to closing when patrons present a Wednesdays on the Green postcard, which is available at Village Hall, 5127 Oakton Street and is available for download at www.wednesdaysonthegreen.com

 

Dine in or carry out from the restaurant and patrons will also get a raffle ticket for a drawing at the Village Green for a gift certificate to a Downtown Skokie restaurant. Must be at least 18 years of age to win.
