Taiwan’s centenary celebrated with photo exhibition at Skokie Public Library

In celebration of the centenary of the Republic of China, the Press Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago will be present a photography exhibition: “Retracing Our Steps: A Photo Journey through 100 Years of the ROC” at the Mary Radmacher Meeting Room of the Skokie Public Library from March 13th through the 31st.

 

This photographic exhibition explores Taiwan’s development over the past century and looks toward the future as well. All aspects of life are on display, with pictures that illustrate the nation’s transformation and the blossoming of diversity, creativity and tolerance in the hundred years since the founding of the Republic of China.

Come enjoy the exhibit. Viewing the photos one gains a greater understanding of what went into making the ROC  what it is today and why the nation’s centenial is such a joyous occasion.
