NIU Ranked 19th Ugliest College Campus
See why Northern Illinois University in DeKalb got this dubious honor.
Complex Art and Design ranked NIU 19 based on its "bland architecture and uninspiring surroundings." The Web site also said that NIU is deliberately misleading to prospective students: "It shows pictures of the castle-esque Altgeld Hall online, when most students never get the luxury of even being on that side if campus."
