The Karen Dove Cabral Foundation’s 3rd Annual Butterfly Ball

The Karen Dove Cabral Foundation proudly presents the 3rd annual Butterfly Ball. Hosted by Geoffrey Baer from WTTW/Channel11, the Butterfly Ball features a cocktail hour (cash bar) with hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dancing. Guests of the Butterfly Ball will have an opportunity to bid on several auction and raffle items, including jewelry from Tiffany, tickets to sporting events and more.

The Karen Dove Cabral Foundation is pleased to be honoring Douglas E. Merkel, MD, Medical Director of the Breast Cancer Program at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Kellogg Cancer Center. Dr. Merkel is being recognized for his years of uncompromising patient-focused breast cancer care and his sensitivity to the myriad of challenges confronted by young mothers and their families.

All proceeds from the Butterfly Ball benefit NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center. NorthShore Kellogg Cancer Center offers comprehensive and compassionate care for oncology patients and their families. Funds raised by the Butterfly Ball will enable the Kellogg Cancer Center to provide much needed support to young mothers with breast cancer by helping to fund non-covered medical expenses, childcare fees, transportation and lodging while undergoing treatment.
