We put this at the top because we think Bar Louie Skokie has the most going this New Year’s Eve.

There is no cover and a DJ. There’s also $5 drink specials and $3 domestic 20-ounces. Also, half-priced appetizers after midnight.

But what we like best about Bar Louie Skokie this New Year’s Eve is the fact it’s attached to a hotel. Holiday Inn Skokie is offering rooms for $109 that include a free breakfast buffet for two on New Year’s Day. So, if you happen to get a little too drunk (or lucky) you don’t have to drive.

We’ve got Libertad at number-two because reservations are running low this New Year’s Eve. The restaurant is offering a five-course dinner with a glass of wine for $50 a person. An employee told Patch that only a few tables are left.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“We’re offering a complimentary toast at 6 p.m., because that’s what time New Year’s is in Ireland,” said one Curragh employee.

There will also be a complimentary champagne toast at midnight as well.

The Irish restaurant is offering champagne kirs for $4 and $2.50 domestic beers on New Year’s Eve. The bar is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Village Inn is offering a free buffet this New Year’s Eve and a complimentary midnight toast. Not too shabby.

While there won’t be any specials, the restaurant will be celebrating and serving booze until 2 a.m.

The restaurant will be offering their full menu as well as a “feature” menu this New Year’s Eve. An employee told Patch that they are accepting reservations.

The restaurant will be open until 10 p.m.

No, we are not suggesting that you celebrate New Year’s Eve with Annie’s. But, we are suggesting that you eat at Annie’s Pancake House on New Year’s Day. When asked if they would be expecting a lot of hung over customers, an employee said, “I hope so. They’re fun!”

The restaurant in downtown Skokie will be open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on New Year's Day.

McDonald’s, 3122 Touhy Ave., Chicago

While just outside of Skokie’s border, this restaurant will be open for 24-hours on New Year’s Eve. So yes, you can get your late night munchies here.

The restaurant will be offering their regular menu plus a special seafood menu this New Year’s Eve. Jameson’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
