Free Social Media Bootcamp Hosted by Skokie Patch

Gaining a digital reach on Facebook and Twitter can be the next big step for your company or non-profit. This event is free and open to the public. We'll also be serving Jet's Pizza to all attendees.

What’s the new sexy word for small businesses and non-profits?

Well, that all depends on what business you’re in, but for the most part, social media ranks at the top of that list.

That being said, Skokie Patch will be holding a free social media boot camp that’s open to all small business owners and non-profits at the 9300 Weber Park Place, on April 5 at 7 p.m.

The event will have nothing to do with Patch. Everything we will talk about will be about how to use social media to improve your digital reach to consumers, clients. Things like how to get Facebook likes and gain Twitter followers will be discussed. Don’t know how to setup a Facebook page for your business? We got that covered too.

Speaking at the event will be Robert K. Elder, former Features Editor at the Chicago Tribune and now Regional Editor at Patch.com. Elder has written several books, some of which have gained national attention. He’s also an expert on all things social media.
