Meatheads Restaurant To Open In Lincolnwood

It will be a freestanding building, unlike most of the chain's other locations in malls. It features burgers, salads, chicken sandwiches and more.

Meatheads, a Chicago-based fast-casual restaurant chain, will open its 13th restaurant in October at 6734 N. Lincoln Avenue, Lincolnwood.

Meatheads serves burgers made from fresh Angus beef as well as chicken tenders, a wedge salad, veggie melts, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese and New England-style hot dogs. The French fries are cut every day and cooked by a chef in omega-rich oil as part of a 32-step process, according to a statement.

The Lincolnwood location will be a new-construction freestanding location, which is different from most of the chain's other locations, in malls. The company said the Lincolnwood site is giving it a chance to design a prototype for other free-standing locations.

The Lincolnwood shop is a  2,200 square foot stand-alone building with a 700 square foot seating mezzanine and a covered patio space, the company said. Like other locations, the restaurant is near several schools, parks and a public library.

“We wanted to create a space that could become a model for future standalone locations,” said Jednorowicz. “We maintained the family design elements seen in other our other restaurants, like the horseshoe booths and community murals, but we also included a few more modern elements like blending natural wood, masonry and metal, that you’ll see on the exterior.”

Some facts about the new location include:
