UPDATE: New Pilot Shooting in Skokie

UPDATE -

The new Skokie police station was recently used to film parts of a new TV series pilot titled Cooper & Stone, starring Alex Breckenridge and Vanessa Ferlito for the CW.

The producers of the show sought out the 7300 Niles Center Road police station due to its modern characteristics and proximity to Chicago. 

Many areas of the new police headquarters were used during filming including the evidence technician area, locker room, interrogation rooms and the investigations area.

Skokie police operations were not effected during filming, according to a press release issued by the Village of Skokie.  Future filming will also not take place at the Skokie police headquarters.  If the pilot is picked up, parts of the Skokie Police headquarters used for filming will be remade in a studio.

If you're wondering why there are multiple trailers near the , it's because the CW is shooting  a new pilot. 

The new pilot, titled Cooper and Stone, is about two young female detectives on Chicago's North Side. According to deadline.com, they're "best friends, equally adept at discussing fashion, music, pop culture as they are solving homicide murders."

The pilot is being directed by John Dahl, who also worked on shows like Dexter and Californication. He's also directed The Vampire Diaries for the CW.

There hasn't been any official word on whether any of the shooting was taking place inside the new police station.
