Readers' Choice: And the Best Florist is ...
Almost 60 votes were cast, but this downtown Skokie florist came out on top.
Downtown Skokie has been on fire as of late, in our Readers' Choice contest.
This week's winner smells absolutely wonderful.
Marge's Flowers, located at 8038 Lincoln Ave., won by a landslide, capturing 44 votes or 83 percent. The next runner up had eight votes, or 15 percent.

The flower shop has stayed in the family for more than 60 years, and this April, the iconic store will be celebrating their 62nd anniversary. The store was originally owned by Marge Kalmes before passing it on to her son and daughter in-law Ron and Gloria Kalmes,
The couple has been managing the store for more than 38 years.
