Skokie-based Peapod Tries New Marketing in Chicago

The online-base grocer is putting its virtual grocery store imagery on the side of a green Peapod truck.

Soon you might catch a glimpse of a giant green truck with virtual grocery store images as part of Skokie-based Peapod’s new marketing campaign, which is designed to give people a sense of how the company works but also to encourage people to check out Peapod’s app, Chicago Business Journal reported.

The app allows customers to shop the online grocery store from wherever and the truck will roam around Chicago from July 11 through 22 and make stops at Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox games and at Justin Timberlake, Bon Jovi and One Direction concerts, the website reported.
