Thieves Shatter Glass Doors, Rob Store On Dempster

The following information comes from the Village of Skokie and the Skokie Police Department. 

Burglary

  • Burglary at 3647 Dempster Street, Vogue Lighting, between January 11th at 5:00 p.m. and January 13th at 8:00 a.m.  Reported:  01/13/2014. An unknown person(s) shattered two glass doors and entered the business.  Cash was stolen from the register.  Nothing else is known to be missing at this time.

Theft

  • Theft at 4833 Oakton Street, Aldi, on January 10th between 2:30 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.  Reported:  01/13/2014. An unknown person(s) stole the victim’s purse from her shopping cart.
  • Theft at 3450 Touhy Avenue, X-Sport Fitness, between January 13th at 10:00 p.m. and January 14th at 12:01 a.m.  Reported:  01/14/2014. An unknown person(s) cut the lock off a locker and stole the victim’s jacket and wallet.
  • Theft at 3450 Touhy Avenue, X-Sport Fitness, on January 13th between 8:45 p.m. and 9:08 p.m.  Reported:  01/14/2014. An unknown person(s) stole an iPhone from inside a backpack while the victim was playing basketball.

Criminal Defacement of Property

  • Criminal Defacement of Property on the 9100 block of Lamon Avenue, on January 13th at 3:00 p.m.  Reported:  01/13/2014. An unknown person(s) wrote illegible graffiti on the exterior wall of the building.

Theft of Lost Property

  • Theft of Lost Property on the 4700 block of Golf Road, on January 13th between 6:50 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Reported:  01/13/2014. An unknown person(s) took an iPhone that was left in the bathroom.

Arrests

  • Gaston, Rachel M., 34, 1434 Hartrey Avenue, Evanston, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 4000 block of Oakton Street, on 01/13/2014.
  • Moy, Peter T., 58, 7001 N. Kilpatrick, Lincolnwood, was arrested on charges of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 5300 block of Touhy Avenue, on 01/14/2014.
  • Quintana-Pena, Uriel Antonio, 25, 418 Scarletfire Drive, Bakersfield CA, was arrested for Driving with a Suspended/Revoked Driver’s License on the 3800 block of Oakton Street, on 01/14/2014.
  • Lakhani, Nicholas N., 19, 8416 McCormick Boulevard, was arrested on charges of Retail Theft on the 4900 block of Old Orchard Road, on 01/14/2014.

The hoodrats "Cometh". Don't be so critical! In the blink if an eye as these scoundrel parasites will take your stuff in the blink of an eye! Her fault? I think not and object to the very notion she was at fault. A slight of judgement is the case at minimum! The scumbag thieves unequivocally are wrong. We are all busy and distracted in this complex thing called life. Do the right thing and HOLD ONTO YOUR PURSE.! But she did nothing wrong. Horrible feeling to be victimized and so easy to be one...a split second is all it takes. Take care all!
