Kenny the Kleener gets award from Rotary Club of Skokie Valley

Ken Davis (right), owner of Kenny the Kleener, is awarded with a special recognition by Rotary Board Member, Rob Paddor (left).

Ken Davis received the award for accepting and cleaning over 300, gently used or unworn, coats and jackets, free-of-charge, to support the annual Rotary Coat Drive.  The annual coat drive, held in November and December,  provides local children and adults with warm winter outerwear. 

Keeny the Kleener operates 4 stores in the Northern Suburbs. With two Skokie locations, Wilmette and Evanston.  Ken said the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley's Coat Drive is a necessity for many families and he was honored that Rob Paddor had asked him to participate.  "I hope next season, we can do even more", Ken said.

The Rotary Club of Skokie Valley helps charities like, THE ARC, A Just Harvest Soup Kitchen, Niles Township Food Pantry, American Cancer Society, USO of Illinois, Metropolitan Family Service, End Polio Now, Orchard Village, Golf Marine Park District, Summer Foundation, Building Together, DECA, Skokie NorthShore Hospital, VITA and more locally and internationally.

Rotary Clubs serve communities around the world on a broad range of service projects.  Since 1985 Polio eradication has been a major objective of Rotary.
