Skokie Valley Rotary names new President

Ross Mathee, Branch President at North Shore Community Bank & Trust Company in Skokie has become President of the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley for the 2013-14 term.

 

Mr. Mathee resides in Skokie with his wife and three children.

Mr. Mathee is active in the community and involved in many organizations including; Commissioner on the Village of Skokie’s Economic Development Commission, Board Member with the Independent Merchants of Downtown Skokie (IMODS), and Wednesday’s on the Green planning committee,

He also is a Parent Board member with the Junior Vikings Tackle Football Program and previously was a den leader for Cub Scouts of America.

 

Mr. Mathee grew up in Lake Forest, IL and attended the College of Lake County and has lived in Skokie since 1998.    

 

The Rotary Club of Skokie Valley helps local organizations like, THE ARC, A Just Harvest Soup Kitchen, Niles Township Food Pantry, American Cancer Society, USO of Illinois, Metropolitan Family Service, End Polio Now, Orchard Village, Golf Marine Park District, Shore Community Services, Summer Foundation, Talking Farm, Building Together, DECA, Skokie NorthShore Hospital, Oakton Community College, VITA and more locally and internationally.

The Rotary meets every Tuesday at 12:15 at McCormick & Schmick's Restaurant at Old Orchard Shopping Center.   The meetings are short and productive often including a guest speaker with topics pertaining to members’ primary business or their Rotary involvement.
