Adventure Mama is Out and About in Skokie

Hello Skokie Patch readers! My name is Diana and I'd like to take a second to introduce myself and talk about my blog.

I've lived in Skokie for 14 years and I'm married with two children (one is five, the other, almost two). We have a third child that's due May 14. I work as a manager at The Village Inn and am on the board of the Skokie Caucus Party. Now, back to my blog post. 

I plan to start by picking a location every week in Skokie that is providing a free family event.  I will include pictures from each event as well as pictures of the people I meet along the way. I also want to expand on ways to save money, as that is an important topic to many and with my husband's recent job loss, now extremely important to us.  Not that I am saying it wasn't before, but with him being the breadwinner it has put us in a situation that we have never been before.

That pretty much sums everything up. Anyone who has an idea about what events I should attend or some money saving tips should post a comment below.  Information on sales in the area are always a big especially when it comes to food and other necessities. 

Lastly, you may wonder why "Adventure Mama?"  Well, it seemed catchy and anyone who has kids knows that it's an adventure every time. 

At the end of every blog I will announce where I am going the next week and what money saving topic I plan to talk about.  I will also try to post my blog every week by Tuesday or Wednesday so that if you want to come and hang out with the kids, you have time to plan for it.
