Mega Movie Pajama Night
When/Where: Friday, March 18, 6-9 p.m., Maine Park Leisure Center, Park Ridge. R/NR: $16/$29
Why Go: Ages 4-9 can wear their PJs, play games, have ice cream and watch a movie.

Root Beer Float & Bingo Social
Where/When: Friday, March 18, 6-7:30 p.m. Ages: 3-9, Park Ridge Senior Center, 100 S. Western, Park Ridge. R/NR: $13 resident, $24 nonresident
Why Go: Pizza, make your own root beer float and play bingo. 
Pricing: $13 resident, $24 nonresident. 

Maple Syrup Festival
Where/When: Saturday, March 19  9:30am - 12:15pm, Travel by bus (departs from Wildwood Nature Center, Park Ridge) to North Park Village Nature Center, 5700 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago. 
Why Go: Enjoy music, storytelling, see tapped trees and learn more about the tapping process, watch sap boil, sample real maple syrup, and listen to tree tapping folklore. Pancakes and warm beverages available for purchase. 
Pricing: $15, or drive there yourself for free.


Where/When: The Happ Inn Bar and Grill in Northfield.
Why Go: Food and drink specials include $14.95 corned beef and cabbage and $4 green beer pints.

Where/When: 7 p.m. Friday, March 18 at 3131 Techny Rd, Northbrook
Why Go: Annie  Jr., is the student version of the popular Broadway award-winning musical. The play features and includes more than 40 students.  
Pricing: $5 adults; $2 students/seniors.


Where/When: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 19 at Wiener and Still Champion in Evanston
Why Go: Celebrate National Corndog day at the Wiener and Still Champion in Evanston. The restaurant will be serving its own take on the corndog--the Dippin Dog, which has been featured on the Food Network, ABC 7 and WGN Radio.

Where/When: 10 a.m. Sunday, March 20 at Park View School, 6200 Lake St., Morton Grove.
Why Go: Boy Scouts Troop 228 and Cub Scouts Pack 228 invite you to the community pancake breakfast. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local charities.

Chicagoland Family Pet Expo
Where/When: March 19 & 20 at the Arlington Park Racecourse in Arlington Heights.  
Why Go: A family fun event with hands-on attractions and entertainment for pet lovers.
Pricing: $5-$10

The Boogers Concert
Where/When: 4 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Oak Park’s Wonder Works
Why Go: With names like Crusty, Greenie and Sticky it leaves little to the imagination. This infectious trio is sure to delight the little ones with their performance at Oak Park’s Wonder Works. This band was just awarded the National Parenting Publications Gold Award for Children's audio and is finishing up a five-month concert series.

Where/When: 3-6 p.m.Thursday, March 17 at the Winnetka Youth Organization
Why Go: Ever wonder about the luck of the Irish? Stop by anytime between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., Thursday to learn about Irish traditions, customs, and folklore. Refreshments will be provided.

Museum of Science and Industry: Body Worlds & The Cycle of Life
Where/When: The exhibit opens Friday, March 18 and is ongoing.
Why Go: This new Body World’s and the Cycle of Life revisits the Museum of Science and Industry and is set to open Friday, March 18. This exhibit explores the cycles of life and the effects of disease and time on the human body.
