Skokie Library's Reinvention Keeps it Relevant

Skokie Public Library removed 80 percent of its reference collection and has added new rooms dedicated to small businesses.

 

With the wave of digital books and offerings on the rise, Skokie Public Library recently invited patrons to discuss the future of libraries and its these explorations and reinventions that help keep this local library popular and relevant for the community, Skokie Review reported.

Skokie Public Library will soon launch the Digital Public Library of America, has digitized Skokie history but is also becoming an antidote to the wave of digital technology, it recently added new rooms dedicated to small business on the second floor and have offered timely discussions or presentations about a variety of topics—making itself valuable as a community space and place for thoughtful discussions, Skokie Review reported.

The business center is a joint venture between the library and the Skokie Chamber of Commerce. .
