Adam Warda acquired a love for baseball somewhat by chance.  At 8 years old, after being invited to play in a little league game by a neighborhood friend Warda discovered he had a passion for the game.

“His dad saw me and he gave me a jersey. I ended up playing, I liked it, and I never stopped playing ever since,” explained the shortstop.

“I think just after freshman year was when I started to realized I could play college ball.  My coach sat me down after freshman year and he just told me to keep going and keep working hard,” explained Warda.

In his subsequent years at school he did just that and this past year the athlete received a scholarship to play Division 1 baseball at Southern Illinois University, where he also hopes to graduate with a degree in accounting.

Warda’s dreams do not end with college though. “Hopefully I start my freshman year, after that hopefully get my degree and then get drafted by someone in the Minor Leagues,” stated Warda.
