Video: Skokie Flooding April 2013
The flooding endured by Skokie was captured by various residents on YouTube.
Of all the areas hit with rain, Oak Brook was hit the hardest in Cook County, recording some 6.7 inches of rain. According to the village’s website, Skokie received between five to six inches of rain since the onset of the storm.
Many of Skokie side streets had several inches of water, but perhaps the worst intersection was Main Street and Crawford Avenue.
