Five Hands Studio in Skokie has been offering private instruction for piano, voice, guitar and violin since 1992. This studio’s unique approach places an emphasis on helping parents to motivate their children and ensure that their study habits are efficient and rewarding.
Music studies are never too difficult if the parents, students and teachers are “on the same page” about how to practice. This keeps it positive. “Like with any language, the easier it is to use - the more fun you will have with it.”, says School Director Rick Cinquemani. “Our commitment is to help students learn this language efficiently so they can express themselves and have fun!”
Mr. Cinquemani founded this studio with the intention of passing on what he learned from his life changing experience with Venezuelan concert pianist Judit Jaimes. The teachers at this studio are have degrees in music and they are selected for their ability to bond with children and adjust to students’ individual learning styles. They have performed at Millennium Park, the Vic Theatre and the Park West in Chicago, as well as other venues across the country. Five Hands Studio also hosts the National Piano Guild Auditions for the Skokie area.
