Wed. Blotter: Graffiti Hits Skokie

Suspect(s) vandalize an entire block.

Police were dispatched to the 9100 block of Skokie Boulevard regarding a criminal damage to property on April 24. According to the report, red spray paint was used to write “Pollo,” “DK” and an upside down “K” on a white van. The damage was estimated at $500.

Red spray paint was also used to vandalize a garage door in the 9100 block of La Crosse Avenue on April 24. According to the report, an upside down pitchfork was drawn.

Red spray paint was used to write “Money Side” on a garage door in the 9100 block of La Crosse Avenue on April 24. It was among a rash of similar incidents that occurred in the area that day.

Police were once again dispatched to the 9100 block of La Crosse regarding criminal damage on April 24. According to the report, “Money Side” was written on the side of a pickup truck with red spray paint.

More damage was seen in the 9100 block of La Crosse Avenue as vandals used red spray paint to write “DK” and an upside down “K” on April 24.

Red spray paint was used to write “DK” on a light pole in the 9100 block of La Crosse Avenue on April 24. The cost to the village is estimated at $500.

Police responded to the 9000 block of La Crosse Avenue on April 25 regarding criminal defacement. According to the report, red spray paint was used to write “DK” and an upside down pitchfork on the north side of a business.

Police responded to another report of vandalism in the 9000 block of La Crosse Avenue on April 25. According to the report, red spray paint was used to write “ALKM” as well as an image of a crown.

A vehicle in the 4800 block an alleyway in the 4800 block of Davis Street was vandalized on April 25. According to the report, red spray paint was used to write, “Latin King Love.”
