JEWISH NEWSPAPER ENDORSES LIEBERMAN, FARKAS

Chicago's largest circulation independent Jewish newspaper gives it's assessment of the need for change in Springfield and endorses local candidates.

The Chicago Jewish Star, the self-described "oldest and most widely circulated independent newspaper" in Chicago, has endorsed Eric Lieberman (Republican Candidate for State Rep in the 18th District) and Glenn Farkas  (Republican Candidate for State Senator) in it's latest edition.

In an editorial subtitled: "Why Vote for Democrats in Illinois when this is what we get?", the Star says: "We're in a deep hole; we have a long way to go. In Illinois, Democrats have been in charge for over a decade in Springfield, and here we are doing backflips on a highwire without a net.

"Therefore, this Tuesday, the prudent voter will vote Republican. Not necessarily for every Republican, but by and large for Republicans, to effect a change.

"In light of our statement above on the urgent need for change in Illinois, we endorse Illinois House and Senate candidates who we hope will point us in the right direction: Eric Lieberman (R, running for House District 18); Glenn Farkas (R, running for Illinois Senate) and Laura Fine (D, House District 17)."
