1871 fire. During the following decades, Chicago hosted great architects such
as Frank Lloyd Wright and redefined the American city with the Daniel Burnham
plan. The Golden Age is arguably the first modern age in American history, and
Chicago was at the center of America's renewal. Discover Chicago's role in
