Free Seminar on Weight-Loss Surgery at Presence Resurrection Medical Center

How about a new you for the new year? Find out how weight-loss (bariatric) surgery can restore your health and help you resume a normal life at a free seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Presence Resurrection Medical Center (PRMC), 7435 W. Talcott Ave., Chicago.


Fred Tiesenga, MD, board-certified surgeon and co-medical director of the Chicago Institute of Advanced Bariatrics, will discuss the impact of obesity on overall health. The program will also show how weight-loss surgery can help resolve diseases associated with excess weight. Obesity can cause or worsen illnesses and conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, certain cancers and joint pain. 


Dr. Tiesenga, who has extensive experience in the most advanced weight-loss procedures, will explain the latest options in bariatric surgery, including the guidance and support offered before and after surgery.
