A little known Senator found out by accident that, when he warned of Communist infiltration in our government, he made front page headlines. And he found that the more outlandish the claims, the larger the headlines.  This is a study of our country when it was very frightened by Communism and how two men, Joseph Welch and Edward R. Murrow, spoke out against McCarthy and for decency and fairness.
