The holidays are upon us and this is a great way to help get you into the holiday spirit. We are holding our 4th annual Santa in the Cabin and Craft & Vendor Fair on Saturday, December 8th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Central United Methodist Church, 8237 N. Kenton in Skokie.
For those of you who have attended in the past, you know what a unique event this is. If you haven't been over to see Skokie's LARGEST log cabin - here's your chance. This 4,000 square foot, 15 room cabin was built in 1927 for a family and eventually became our first church building. You'll be enchanted by this charming cabin that's is sitting in the middle of suburban Skokie.
Everyone agrees that this is the best place to take your little ones to visit with Santa. He will be sitting upstairs in the cabin's loft and you'll want to make sure you've got your camera handy. Afterwards we have some free craft projects the kids can make and take home. We have crafters and vendors from all over with a wide variety of unique gifts to help you get some of your shopping done. We are also serving a warm, homemade lunch at a reasonable price which you can enjoy next to the fireplace in the Log Cabin's Great Room. Of course no church event would be complete without a bake sale and we'll have delicious goodies you can take home to enjoy.
All proceeds will go towards our continued renovation of everyone's favorite building.
