Images of Evanston and the Surreal Art Show featuring Patricia Mejía

Evanston Subaru in Skokie is
proud to host an art show, Images of
Evanston and the Surreal
for watercolor artist Patricia Mejía on September
27th, 2013 from 5pm to 9pm at 3340 Oakton St., Skokie.

Her collection of art focuses
on Evanston’s rich architectural legacy and the vibrant cultural life.  She captures Evanston’s rich heritage with
paintings from Northwestern University to historical homes like the Dawes’
House, one of Evanston’s beloved landmarks.

Patricia’s watercolor titled Evanston Township High School- All Seasons
–’08
, is now on permanent display in the high school’s main lobby.

Patricia also paints surreal
images with amazing detail.  Many of her
watercolor paintings can be viewed at Evanston Subaru in Skokie on Sept. 27, or

In 2006, Patricia moved from
Mexico City to Evanston. She is a former faculty member at the Universidad
Iberoamericana de Mexico.  She is also a
Founding Member of the National Watercolor Museum in Mexico City. She is currently
working on compiling her paintings into a book.

The Images of Evanston and the Surreal art show is free to attend and
light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.  A portion of the sales of art will benefit
the programs of the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley.
