My Life as a Nun
Ellen McManus,
Caring Committee chair, speaks August 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at the Ethical Humanist Society of
Chicago, 7574 North Lincoln Avenue in Skokie. Her topic is,
“My Life as a Nun.” Ellen will engagingly recount how her decision
at age 13 to become a nun led her on a journey to a religious community and “a
final profession.” Mixed with laughter and light mischief, she will share some
sad, profound, and reflective moments.
