Registration is in full swing as the Niles West Junior Wolves Football program readies its 2013 gridiron squads, consisting of five teams of 4th through 8th graders. Registration is open until August 1 via www.juniorwolvesfootball.com.
The website also answers most questions parents have about the program. Players do not have to be District 219 residents.
Junior Wolves Director and Coach Bill Pabst has already guaranteed one thing in 2013: “Fun. For concerned parents who have not watched youth football, it is nothing like you see in the NFL or major college game. Games and practices are highly controlled, kids play against children their own age and size. Frankly, anyone who watches will quickly see smiles and horseplay are far more common than hard hits”.
