Niles West Theatre Presents "The Dream of the Burning Boy"

The Niles West Theatre Department presents the modern drama “The Dream of the Burning Boy” by David West Read on September 26 through 28 in the Black Box Theatre at Niles West, 5701 Oakton, Skokie. Performances are at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, senior citizens and children (age 12 and under). High school teacher Larry Morrow has been falling asleep at his desk and dreaming since the sudden death of his favorite student. The students of the school are experiencing the struggle between extreme grief and a need for attention. As Larry’s dreams intensify and the cloud of sadness overcomes the school, a shocking secret is exposed—a secret that will change everything.
