Skokie honors Leonid Osseny and Lincoln Terrace Art Studio and Gallery Celebrates

Sonya and Leonid Osseny started to teach art
almost from the first day after they arrived in the United States from Russia over twenty years ago.    They opened the Lincoln Terrace Art Studio and Gallery in downtown Skokie at 5027 Warren Street in 1997.

The Studio and Gallery will celebrate its anniversary on International Children's Day with a children's art exhibition and free public reception on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

“Some of our early students (who at that time
were 9-10 years old) are now bringing their kids back to our studio for art
classes.  We are pleased and honored to
teach second generations from the same families,” remarked Leonid.

A former student from Northbrook confirms, “I
took these classes as a child and am now bringing my kids to the same  classes.  It is wonderful to not only be

able to do so, but to visit with my teachers.  The classes are a part of my childhood memories and helped me learn and
develop my skills over the years.  The
environment also allowed me to make friends with children in a creative

environment that was filled with love, positive reinforcement and a love of the
arts.”   Sonya Osseny explains, “Our special art
environment encourages students to take time to explore their skills in a
nurturing atmosphere, surrounded by artworks from professional artists.”

Registration for classes at Lincoln Terrace Art Studio is ongoing.     Summer Camp is available.  Phone 847-673-0345 for more information.   (http://www.SkokieArtClasses.com)
