The 18th Annual Myra Rubenstein Weis Health Resource Center Luncheon "Memory Matters"

The 18th annual Myra Rubenstein Weis (MRW) Health Resource Center Luncheon is themed “Memory Matters.” This year’s event will honor Bruce Brockstein, MD, Medical Director of the Kellogg Cancer Centers at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore), for his achievements in the field of oncology. James Mastrianni, MD, PhD, Director of The Center for Comprehensive Care & Research on Memory Disorders at the University of Chicago, will serve as the keynote speaker at this year’s event. Dr. Mastrianni will educate guests about the latest research and share proactive steps to take and lifestyle choices to make in order to keep the mind young. In addition to the educational elements, the Luncheon will feature luxurious auctions and enticing raffle prizes.

Proceeds from the Luncheon will provide funding for Living in the Future (LIFE) Cancer Survivorship Program at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore). LIFE connects cancer survivors to primary care physicians and local support networks and resources, including the Myra Rubenstein Weis Cancer Survivorship Seminars. These free educational lectures are open to the public and include topics of importance to cancer survivors, including nutrition, exercise and genetics. Funds raised from the 2014 Luncheon will also support diabetes education programming and other MRW health initiatives at NorthShore.

To make reservations, please call NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation at (224) 364-7275 or visit foundation.northshore.org/mrw.
