Community Corner

Hoping for a Christmas Miracle * Come True.

Latinos in Skokie has collected gifts for a very special family in need, but we still need one more very special gift. We would like to get for this mother and her kids a Christmas Tree and some decorations before Christmas Day, and we are hoping someone in the community could donate a tree, average size, that they might not use anymore.

Hopefully this year we can make for this family this Christmas Wish come true.

On behalf of Guadalupe's family, we would like to thank Ms. Ofelia Moreno for her generosity in donating a huge Christmas Tree, and all decorations included.

This is the kind of Miracle that makes the season so special. Is not the gift what matters, but  most importantly the desire to help and make others feel special by a sincere act of kindness.

UPDATE: Latinos in Skokie will be this Tuesday in Dunkin Donuts of Gross Point Rd. and Dempster St. fro 7pm to 9pm collecting extra gifts for Guadalupe's Family. We have a wishlist from her kids, but any gift donation is always welcome.  We know there is much need around, but we also believe simple positive actions can make a significant difference in the world.
