Skokie Mayor Gets Asian American TV Award

Asian Chronicle USA TV honored Mayor Van Dusen.


Asian Chronicle USA TV, a public access cable TV program aired in about 90 suburbs, has given one of its annual awards to Skokie Mayor George Van Dusen.

He received the "Distinguished Friends of Asian Americans" award at a ceremony at the Four Points Sheraton in Schiller Park Saturday.

The program noted Van Dusen's background as a historian and Congressional staffer, and his integration of the arts into Skokie civic life.

The following is Asian Chronicle USA's airing schedule in the northern Chicago suburbs: 

Saturdays: 5:30 PM, Channel 35: Arlington Heights,  Bartlett, Des Plaines, Glenview, Golf, Hanover Park, Mt. Prospect, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg, Skokie, Streamwood, Wheeling 
Saturdays: 5:30 PM Channel 19: Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Lincolnwood, Maine Township, Morton Grove, Niles, Northfield, Northfield Township, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Wilmette
