Skokie, IL: The GT Young Artists program is proud to premiere their latest project, Maurice D. Proffit’s adaptation of THE TRIAL OF GOLDILOCKS, performing Saturdays and Sundays at 4pm, September 28-October 6th 2013, at Gorilla Tango Skokie Theatre (7924 N Lincoln Ave Skokie, IL 60077). Fraud. Larceny. Breaking and Entering. Destruction of private property. The family of the Three Bears have had enough and decided to Lawyer Up! The beautiful young girl by the name of Goldylocks will be tried in a public trial in front of a jury of her peers. The family of the three bears are looking to throw the law book at her. But not if Goldylocks and her cunning ways can help it!

The story of Goldilocks is one of the first fairytale stories that we have all been introduced to that represents different levels of drama. Whether it was the naïve factors of both the bear family and Goldilocks, or the laws that were broken by Goldilocks, this was a story that introduced us to the difference between truth and justice. Take an inside look into what would happen if Goldilocks were tried for the crimes that she was accused of against The Bears Family.

About The Young Artists Program
The Young Artists department seeks to foster creativity in young people by offering classes in theatre and film that introduce students to the entire process of creating a production. For advanced students and seasoned young performers, the Young Artists Department will guarantee performance opportunities year-round by adding more of Gorilla Tango's popular By Kids For Kids productions to the show schedule.

More about The Cast and Crew
Maurice D. Proffit (Playwright and Director): Maurice D. Proffit is a playwright, producer and director. He received his B.A. in Social Science from Benedictine University. He is the Executive Producer of Powerhouse Productions, a theatre company based in Schaumburg, IL. He has written and directed four different productions for the theatre. He is currently working on his 5th production with the theatre.
