Home Instead Senior care will be hosting a free Alzheimer's Training at the end of September. There will be two different locations to allow people a chance to participate.
The first training will be on Tuesday, September 24 starting at 7 pm at The Hallmark of Chicago 2960 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60657 in the Oakdale Room on the 2nd Floor. The second training will be on Thursday, September 26 at 6:30 pm at the Morton Grove Civic Center 6140 Dempster Street, Morton Grove, IL 60053 on the 2nd floor craft room.
Each training will go over techniques on how to manage the challenging behaviors of the disease. At the end of each training, attendees will be able to participate in a Virtual Dementia Tour. The tour will simulate what a day is like for an individual with dementia.
The training is built to help the spouse or adult child who is the primary caregiver for their loved one. It is open to the public, so whether you live in Chicago, Skokie, Evanston, Morton Grove, or any of the surrounding towns please call the office at 847-673-1250 to RSVP.
