Skokie Library Receives Award for Community Impact

Skokie Public Library received the LibraryAware Community Award and a $7,500 prize, Skokie Review reported.


Skokie Public Library recently added another award to its long list of accolades—the LibraryAware Community Award, which recognizes a library or library system that demonstrates ability to make the community aware of what the library can do for it and has delivered on that promiseSkokie Review reported. 

In the past the library received national recognition as a National Gold Medal recipient, the second library in the state to achieve the honor and Library Director Carolyn Anthony was also named Illinois Librarian of the Year, Skokie Review reported.
