Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford is pleased to announce that Abbas Nasir, who hails from Skokie, has been selected to serve as an intern for the College Savings program at the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office.

“I am excited to welcome Abbas to our team,” said Rutherford.  “Through this internship, I’m confident he will gain both knowledge about what our office does and work experience that will benefit him in the future. He will work with my team on our Bright Start program, which helps families save money for their kids’ college education. Nasir will also work on marketing campaigns and visit county fairs to promote I-Cash, a program our office provides to help Illinoisans reclaim lost cash or belongings. I trust he will find this internship to be a very rewarding experience.”
