Break-ins in our Block

This morning we found 3 cars including ours broken into on our block. Amazing thing we All have Alarms that don't go off unless you knock it off. None of our Alarms went off. PLus we have dogs that bark if an alarm goes off or if there is someone in our driveway or in front. SOOOO???? What happened? None of our cars had broken windows or forced entries in the vehicles. What are we dealing with??? Only stuff taking were our extra money we leave in the car. And the glove compartment ransacked everything thrown all over. Anyone have clues to how? Cops can't believe our alarms didn't go off 1, and that our doors were not left open 2. NONE of us leave our doors open and the Alarms do go off and you need to stop it, it won't go off on it's own. Plus the cars in the driveway are close to the house and 1 of them is next to bedroom window??? HELP
