Alleged Murderer Arrested in Skokie

Skokie resident Charles R. Jones was arrested in Skokie after allegedly murdering a man outside a pool hall in El Paso, Texas.

Skokie police arrested fugitive Charles R. Jones, 27, near Touhy Avenue and McCormick Boulevard on Saturday.

Jones allegedly killed a man outside a pool hall in El Paso, Texas, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jones was arraigned on Sunday. He is currently being held on $1 million bail, the Tribune reported.

Jones, of Skokie, allegedly shot and killed Gerald Banks, 33, after an altercation at a pool hall in Texas in April, according to the Tribune.

Another man, 26-year-old Dantrell Posey, was also charged in connection to Banks’ murder.
