Armed Robber Strikes Gas Station on Touhy Saturday

He ordered the clerk to lie on the ground.


An armed robbery took place at a Shell gas station at 5055 W. Touhy, Skokie, just west of the Edens Expressway, Saturday at 9:02 p.m., according to Skokie police. 

A black male entered the gas station wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and a blue bandana covering the lower half of his face, according to police. He displayed a gun and ordered the cashier to lie on the ground.

He took cash and fled through the alleyway, the report indicated.
