Armed Robbers Accost Resident Pulling Into His Garage

After the victim pulled into his Skokie garage, an armed man entered and struck him, and then two more entered.


A resident entering his garage was robbed by three armed men after midnight on Nov. 11. 

According to Skokie police, an armed robbery occurred on the 7800 block of Crawford Avenue, on November 11th between 12:50 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.  It was reported 11/17/13.

As the victim drove his vehicle into his residential garage, an unknown offender quickly entered the garage and displayed an automatic handgun and demanded money, according to Skokie police.

The offender struck the victim in the face causing him to fall to the ground, police said. Two more offenders displaying handguns entered.  The three offenders stole the victim’s wallet, containing cash and credit cards.  The offenders also stole the victim’s backpack, containing a large amount of cash, poker chips, electronic items, and identification items.

The offenders were described a male Middle Eastern subject, 22 – 30 years of age, 5’11”, and 180 – 210 pounds, according to police.  The second subject was Middle Eastern 6’0”, 230 – 250 lbs., with a wide heavy build. A description of the third offender was not available.
