Auto Stolen, Later Recovered

Residential burglary
Jewelry and about $200 in cash were reported stolen from a home in the 9100 block of LaCrosse Avenue on April 28. The offender(s) gained entry through an unlocked window, police said.
Stolen auto

A 2013 SUV was reported stolen from the 9000 block of Knox Avenue but was later recovered on April 28, police said.
Retail theft

Jeremy Hill, 19, of Evanston, was charged with retail theft on April 28. Hill was arrested after he attempted to steal a jean jacket from TJ Maxx, 3337 Golf Road, on April 28, police said.
Stolen phone
A woman reported her cell phone stolen after she briefly left it unattended at the Apple Store in Old Orchard Mall on April 29.
