Blotter: Jr. High Window Broken and Purse Snatched

Residential Burglary

A victim reported that an unknown person(s) entered the basement of a building in the 3800 block of Jerome Street between June 5 at 5 p.m. and June 10 at 5 p.m. and removed a grey Schwinn men's bike that was locked to a pole.

Criminal Damage to Property

The victim reported that an unknown object was used to break a window on the northeast side of the building at Lincoln Jr. High School on June 10.

Theft

A victim reported that while eating at a restaurant in the 5300 block of Touhy an unknown person(s) removed her wallet from inside her purse that was on the floor, underneath the table, at 10:30 p.m. on June 7. The offender(s) then used the victim's credit cards to make various purchases in Skokie and Chicago.

Arrests

Michael Demaret,, 21, of, Chicago, was arrested on charges of driving on a revoked license and obstructing an officer, on June 10.

Edwin Acevedo-Vargas,, 47, of Chicago, turned himself in on a probation violation warrant at the Skokie Police Department on June 10.
