Skokie police alerted residents through Nixle, a text messaging system that informs residents about important crimes and happenings in their area, that an armed robbery took place at the Brickyard Bank, 3536 W. Dempster St., about 1 p.m. July 9.
The two suspects are described as an Hispanic male about 5 feet, 5 inches who wore brown shorts with stripes and a heavy-set female who was wearing a yellow shirt and jeans. The pair fled with a white grocery bag containing cash and were last seen heading north on Central Park Avenue.
