It's the bought that counts

A security guard at a store in Niles told police he saw a man take a Cuisinart Auto Grind N' Brew 10-cup coffeemaker off the shelf, carry it to the cash register and return it without a receipt for $122 in store credit. He left the store, followed by a security agent, who ran after him on a chase through parking lot and the surrounding area. He finally stopped running, and police arrived.

He liked it, put a ring on. She liked it, couldn't put a lid on it.

Forest Park Police responded to a call about a loud argument at 3 a.m., where a woman who had just gotten married was screaming and yelling at three other women. Police said the argument had moved outside from the post-nuptial celebration at the bride’s brother's apartment. Police said she refused to quiet down and continued to yell and scream up and down the street and said, "arrest me then.” She was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly breach of peace

APB for exceptionally well-groomed thieves

Store security at a drug store in Northfield told police they saw a couple enter the store with empty bags, which they filled up with diapers, electric toothbrushes, whitening strips and shaving razors. As the couple walked toward the door, store employees told them the items they collected were unpaid for, but the couple said they walked into the store with those items, pushed past employees and entered a vehicle waiting near the entrance, police say, and drove off. The stolen items were valued at $1,000.
