Evanston Man Arrested After Injuring Officer, More in Thursday Police Blotter

Aggravated Battery
Corey Cullum, 33, of Evanston, was charged with aggravated battery after police conducted a traffic stop on the 4900 block of Golf Road between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on May 4, police stated. Police officers attempted to place the driver under arrest for being suspended, according to the report, and the driver’s husband attempted to prevent them from making the arrest. A struggle ensued, police stated, and the arresting officer was injured.
Retail Theft

A juvenile was arrested for retail theft at Nordstrom’s Department Store, 4937 Old Orchard Center, at 3:45 p.m. on May 3, police stated. The juvenile went into the fitting room with a sweatshirt, shirt and thong, according to the report, and exited carrying only a shirt. The juvenile attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, police stated.
Public Indecency

Gene Erby, 60, of Chicago, was arrested for public indecency in the 4100 block of Main Street at 10:15 p.m. on May 3, police stated.
